Arriving to Turku
Turku is located on the South-Western coast of Finland. Our city is easy to reach by public transportation from all the other major cities in Finland. Turku is about two hours away from both Helsinki and Tampere. You can arrive to Turku by air, sea, rails and roads.

TAI operates in six different locations within the City of Turku. All our campuses are easy to reach by public transportation from the city center.

We offer basic education for adults, preparatory programs, and vocational education and training with special attention to Finnish language skills. We can help you integrate into the Finnish society and find a path to the Finnish working life.

Turku Vocational Institute offers youth and adult learners training in various fields of vocational education on six campuses within the City of Turku. Through the apprenticeship office, the qualification options are almost limitless!
The Turku Vocational Institute also provides preparatory education for students with an immigrant background as well as education and training specially tailored to the requirements of actively competing athletes.

Finnish educational system
The Finnish educational system consists of:

Meiltä saat opiskelijatyönä tietokoneiden päivityksen ja huollon. Hallitsemme myös langattomat verkot ja tietoliikennekaapeloinnit.
We offer Computer servicing and updates, done by our students. We also work with wireless networks and IT cabling.

Small-scale HVAC installations done by our students.

Students at Ompelushoppi design and manufacture many kinds of clothing orders for customers, as well as offering small-scale stitching and repair services.

We offer minor electrical installation and re-installation services done by our students in the Turku region. Typical installation sites are outbuildings, garages, parking spaces, lighting, socket installation and electrical heating systems. We take jobs based on where we are in the curriculum, and as time allows.

Puuhapirtti is a fun and exciting place for children 1 year and up staffed by our Practical Nurse, Caregiver and Daycare trainees. Each 3-hour session consists of various activities, including storytelling, arts and crafts, theatre, exercise, and music. Children are not obliged to stay the full three hours and may bring along a snack. Inside shoes and, if necessary, a diaper are also recommended.

Friday: Music

We make furniture done to your specifications, by our students. We are also able to plan and make staircases.
